[Through David’s efforts] our EBITDA will improve by 200% this year by focusing on solving real problems. Enough said!

By allowing others around me to help me do what I do best. It helps me be a better leader, and person.

I just wanted to take a moment to thank you for the excellent leadership guidance you provided. We have a great group and the skills you are providing us with have enhanced how we look and react to opportunities. The result is that we tackled the top items and focused on them.

[David helped us discover] a clear and confident path towards real results among a leadership team with big egos.

We know how to actually run an effective meeting and I think most importantly the true definition of accountability.

How long it took to get to a good place but then how quickly the transition was [with David’s insight and guidance].

David has the ability to push us farther. He may not know where or what the answer/issue is but he knows when we have to go deeper or push our limits. He does not let us settle or take the easy answer.

David is quite capable of sorting through a company’s people, problems and 'stuff' to arrive at what matters. He has a great way of keeping everyone on the same page, even owners.

David doesn't tell you what you want to hear, but he does tell you what you need to hear - and he does it in a way that is not off-putting. In other words, he knows how to step on your shoes without messing up the shine.

David is excellent and making us focus on real issues, rather than glossing over problems in our organization. He helps us focus on the real problem, rather than symptoms.

At the end of our lives, I am convinced we will look back at a few defining moments and see the impact that they made. Today was one of those for us. Your guidance and ability to bring to the surface the courageous conversation that needed to happen will be felt for years to come I feel. You really pulled back the curtain and allowed us to be “exposed”. It’s about the organization not the individual, but when emotions and personal agendas get involved it hard to separate the two. Today, you made a difference in our future going forward. Your wisdom and credibility was evident in the way you allowed the group to be open and honest.

I consider David a mentor, a sounding board, a catalyst for elevating my thinking, and a role model.  With David as my ‘go-to’ for perspective, I have experienced a level of significance and reputation in my operational strategy firm that has exceeded even my expectations. What he has taught me is that we limit ourselves without even realizing it. David helps you set the right boundaries while embracing one’s limitless potential.

Through David's leadership, we had the leadership of a company to make real change on a weekly basis - while enabling the entire leadership team to promote the vision of the company.

Lean into conflict. Set and reset expectations. Hold yourself and others accountable. Ask questions, emotional questions that get to the heart of the issue.  Leadership is about helping others. Embrace change and learn from mistakes. Set big hairy goals and don't back off reaching them. Delegate and delegate properly with clear expectations. People will fire themselves if they don't fit your culture.

What I appreciate most about David as a peer and mentor is that he pushes back and welcomes push back. He knows that breakthrough thinking takes everyone being open to what may be different, possible, or never been done before.

One of [David’s] favorite quotes is ‘Leap and the net will appear.’ I have taken that advice a few times now and have not fallen yet!

Thanks for helping me get out of my head and into my heart. It is a new skill that has made as much or more of an impact at home as it has in my professional life.

I treasure [David’s] tenacity and perseverance, his business savvy, love and generosity helped me through one of the toughest periods of my life.

Thanks for all you have done to help us be better business people, leaders and supporters of the ones we love. Your dedication and consistent commitment to your clients and peers are remarkable. You have made a profound difference in the lives and businesses of many.

When I think of David, I always think of him saying, “Pardon me but I call bull****!”

I will take your teachings and pay them forward., Thank you for your successful wisdom, guidance, support, encouragement, and leadership.

I remember your words, encouraging me to be my best, to ‘open the kimono,’ and to think hard about the life I want to create, you enriched me.
